Forestry grade T28 cell trays 0.47L
A well-known pioneer species that is, alongside Kānuka, one of the first to return after forest clearing or fires. It has a vast array of practical and medicinal uses. However, its ability to quickly regenerate land has bought a lot of interest in recent times.
Grown in forestry-grade sizes which are smaller, quick to establish, and cost-effective, mānuka is becoming increasingly important in restoration efforts.
Once established mānuka stands provide shade cover for delicate natives that need more time and shelter to grow.
Care
Mānuka can tolerate a surprising array of conditions. Whether it is dry, frosty or nutrient-deplete, mānuka will thrive provided it is planted at the right time of year with the right set of standard cares for planting natives. Keeping on top of surrounding Blackberry and Gorse is important to prevent it from being outcompeted for sunlight.
